I saw your vcast on erotic dance and would like to make a clarification. Heather Downe was not the first person to bring erotic danse classes to Montreal. Joy Toyz had been doing it for a year when she read an article about us in the Gazette.
She called our company and tried to get in on our classes. Shortly after that she cut and pasted our class description (and the class description from another Montreal burlesque teacher) onto her own website. She never even bothered to change the wording or the syntax.
It’s really sad that someone would do that and get away with it. Montreal, the dance community and especially the neo-burlesque community are really small. She is not part of the burlesque or neo-burlesque community. She’s a fraud who is cashing in on a trend. What goes around comes around, usually in spades.
